Every parent wants their child to achieve their full potential and at Northern Saints we pride ourselves on making that happen. We support all children to make rapid progress and leave us with results well above that which is expected nationally.
We are a big school, but don’t worry, our staff provide a caring, secure and safe environment for your child. That’s why we spend money on increasing staff numbers in the Early Years and Key Stage 1, aiming for smaller learning groups and providing quality resources. Right throughout the school your children will have top quality furniture, the latest technical gear such as Ipads and opportunities to enhance their learning through individually tailored teaching programmes which meet their needs.
We expect our teachers and staff to continue their studies as they join us so they have to work hard to progress with us ensuring that all children make progress quickly. Our staff are truly inspirational and we are often asked by other schools for support to improve their standards. We also provide apprenticeships via Sunderland College as we believe that the very best students leaving secondary school and 6th Form can enhance your child’s learning as they continue to train.
If a job’s worth doing,
it’s worth doing well
We expect parents to support their child’s progress and regular reviews are held with each child in class and with parents. The Governing Body also makes sure that the Head Teacher and Senior Team stay focused on providing quality teaching and ensuring excellent pupil results. So check out the links on curriculum and teaching to get a detailed account of how we do this.
