Attendance

At Northern Saints CofE Academy, we are committed to providing an education of the highest quality for all of our pupils. We know that this is done by supporting and promoting excellent academy attendance for all and that only by attending the academy regularly and punctually, will children and young people be able to take full advantage of the educational opportunities available to them.

To achieve excellent attendance, we know that the whole academy have a role to play and we are dedicated to ensuring that it is at the forefront of everything that we do. Pupils themselves, parents and carers, teachers, support staff, the family worker and our academy councillors can all help to achieve excellent attendance.

Our attendance policy sets out the academy’s procedures for recording and monitoring absences, punctuality and also explains how we reward excellent attendance as we feel this is something that should be celebrated.  It also includes information about partnerships with parents and relevant support agencies that can provide advice and support if there are ever any difficulties.
