Collective Worship

​Collective Worship reflects the Christian ethos and distinct identity of our school, serving as a celebration of all that we do in God’s name. 

Worship is carefully planned and offered daily, providing a rich and varied experience. It takes place in different settings—our church, school worship hall and classrooms. Each act of worship is invitational, rooted in Christian values, and inspired by the teachings of Jesus. 

Every worship includes space to appreciate music and art, whether through singing, listening, or reflecting on creative works. Worship at Northern Saints is inclusive: children, staff, academy councillors, clergy and parents are all invited to engage with the relevance of Christian teaching in today’s world, with their reflections and contributions valued and welcomed. 

Overview of collective worship 

A well-planned and thoughtfully delivered programme of worship gives children regular opportunities to grow spiritually and to deepen their understanding of liturgical traditions and the Church year. 

Collective Worship is a time set aside for prayer and reflection, making it a meaningful, inclusive, and inspirational experience for both children and adults. 

Our worship is enriched by children learning, reciting, and reflecting daily on our school vision, the Lord’s prayer, pupils prayers, and other associated prayers. 

Each class worship space provides a focal point for prayer and reflection, where children can grow spiritually, engage with Christian values, and connect with the themes of Collective Worship. It reflects the Church year, encourages inclusivity, and helps our school community to live out its Christian ethos each day.
