Safeguarding
At Northern Saints CE (VA) Primary School, we are committed to safeguarding and upholding the welfare of all of our pupils. We have a Welfare Team, who work daily to ensure that the safeguarding procedures for all pupils are of the highest standard and we expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.
We are extremely dedicated to ensuring that consistent and effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support all of the families, children and staff within our school community. All safeguarding concerns are shared with members of staff who are trained as ‘Designated Safeguarding Officers’, in compliance with the ‘sharing of information’ guidance. We treat all concerns with sensitivity and ensure that the appropriate level of confidentiality is assured.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead is Diane Curley, Deputy Head Teacher for Welfare, Safeguarding and Behaviour. She is supported in her role by a wider Welfare Team that consists of Head Teacher and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (Andy Jones); the school Family Worker and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (Kathleen McBeth); the school SENDCO (Gabby Gregory) and Medication and Medial Care Plan Coordinator (Liz Burn.)
If you have any welfare concerns about your child, or any other pupil at Northern Saints, please do not hesitate to contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead, who will signpost you to the best point of contact for advice and support.
