Impact of reported Covid cases and bubble closures
As you may be aware, we have had to close our Reception and Year 2 bubbles, due to a number of confirmed Covid cases in school. This is having a significant impact on pupils who cannot attend and on staffing levels. Parents and carers of all pupils directly effected have been informed, following the latest guidance from Public Health.
Unfortunately, we have no option but to postpone our mini sports days and our transition afternoons, that we had planned for next week, for all year groups.
We sincerely hope we can rearrange these events for the final week of term. However, as this situation changes daily, it is difficult to predict longer term at this stage.
We still intend to issue your child’s end of year report this afternoon as planned. If your child is currently not in school because their bubble must isolate, their report will be sent with a sibling. Where this is not possible, we will post today.
With cases rising again nationally, can I please remind everyone of the importance of maintaining social distancing on our site and encourage the wearing of face coverings.
Take care everyone and stay safe.
Yours sincerely
Mr Jones
